Bengi Tasci 2Turkish-American lyric-coloratura soprano Bengi Tasci had the honor to sing under the guidance of such conductors as James Levine, Valery Gergiev, Julius Rudel, Paul Nadler, Franz Welser-Möst, Anton Guadagno, Kamal Khan, and more.

In 2003, she was recruited from Florida and made her debut at the Metropolitan Opera as the first Turkish soprano to receive a principal artist contract. In 2004, she was chosen as one of the five successful Turkish women in America by Turk of America magazine. Later in 2006, she made her European debut in Belle-ile-En-Mer, France.

Some of her performed roles include Olympia in Tales of Hoffmann, Oscar in Il Ballo in Maschera, Zerlina in Don Giovanni, Adina in L’Elisir D’Amore and Queen of the night in Die Zauberflote.

Ms. Bengi Tasci had the pleasure and privilege to work with many wonderful teachers, namely, Marilyn Mims, Louis Menendez, Trish McCaffrey, Roger Rundle, Kevin Murphy, Lynn Trepel Caglar, Kamal Khan, Nikki Li Hartliep and more.

Ms. Tasci is a winner of several prestigious competitions. Among them are Palm Beach Opera Voice Competition, Opera Birmingham Vocal Competition and Palm Beach Atlantic Vocal Competition. In addition to her private studio training, Ms. Tasci’s formal education includes Istanbul State Conservatory, Mimar Sinan State Conservatory and New World School of the Arts.

Ms. Tasci has 29 years of experience in music. Aside from her private voice studio, Ms. Tasci taught voice at Pine Crest School, Music School of Westchester, Abrons Arts Center and Music School in Chappaqua. Currently, as a proud member of National Association of Teachers of Singing, Inc. (NATS) and New York Singing Teachers’ Association (NYSTA), Ms. Tasci is enjoying the wonderful opportunity of sharing her knowledge and experience with her students as the Director and Teacher at Music with Bengi in New York.
